The array of activities offered at Mason Prep enhances and enriches the curriculum and is as varied and dynamic as the student body itself. A variety of day trips are taken by all grades, such as visits to the South Carolina Aquarium, the Aiken Rhett House, and the Avery Institute. Beginning in the fourth grade, each class ventures out to an overnight experience. Seventh and eighth graders take trips to the North Carolina Mountains and Washington, D.C., while younger students travel to Seabrook Island for a Barrier Island study and to Zoo Camp in Columbia.
