In concert with Mason Prep's commitment to the education of the whole child, the library media program supports and enriches the teaching and learning process; provides intellectual and physical access to all avenues and formats of information; and promotes within the Mason Prep community and beyond the joy of lifelong reading and inquiry.
Library Media Center Mission Statement

Mason Prep students from first through sixth grade visit the Nancy D. Hawk Library Media Center during their scheduled class time. During that class time the media specialist teaches information literacy skills. Open scheduling of students during the school day allows the upper-school students, faculty and others to come to the Library Media Center for individual checkouts and research.

The Accelerated Reader Program is a schoolwide effort to make reading an everyday part of the lives of our students, parents, and faculty. Students read books from a variety of genres, take computerized quizzes, and receive points that are redeemed in a school auction held each spring.
