Our mission to teach the whole child is truly illustrated in the art, music, and drama programs at Mason Prep. All students attend art and music classes; in addition, drama is offered for students in grades seven and eight.

The art curriculum incorporates a wide range of techniques with a strong emphasis on art appreciation and art history. Students have the opportunity to experiment with media such as: watercolors, acrylics, oil pastels, sculpture, clay and printmaking. All students' artwork is displayed at our annual art show held each spring.

The primary goal of the music curriculum is to give students a basic working knowledge of music and to foster an awareness of how music affects us and how it relates to our world. Students learn the basic elements of music theory such as rhythm, melody, duration, singing, playing instruments, and movement. Students also study music history, cultural music, and famous composers.
