Guidance

Mason Prep has a full-time school counselor who supports the mission of the school in the education of the whole child. Our guidance curriculum facilitates student development in three broad areas:

• Learning to live (personal/social development)
• Learning to learn (academic development)
• Learning to work (career development).

In addition to classroom guidance for grades 1-8, the counselor provides individual and group guidance as well as family support and referral. The Peer Mediation program is also directed by the counselor in an effort to help our students learn to solve conflicts in a positive manner.
