Mason Prep has a dress code which requires that the designated PE uniform be worn by all students on their respective PE days. All students have PE two days each week. The PE shirt must be either a Mason Prep collared shirt (long or short sleeve) or a Mason Prep PE T-shirt. The new PE T-shirt, which is available from Lands’ End, may be worn only on PE days. Along with the PE shirt, students are required to wear Mason Prep shorts, skorts, sweatpants or track pants. If desired, a Mason Prep sweatshirt, track jacket, fleece vest or fleece jacket may be added.
Students should also wear clothing with the Mason Prep logo on any field trips which do not involve getting dirty. This clothing should include a Mason Prep collared shirt and, on cooler days, either a Mason Prep sweatshirt (non-hooded), fleece vest, or fleece jacket.
The designated and approved PE uniforms and other school-logo attire have been arranged by the PTO in cooperation with Lands’ End and Education Outfitters. The PTO serves as a liaison between the uniform providers and the parents and school administration but does not handle sales or returns of items. The complete requirements of the dress code, including the PE uniform, can be found in the current Mason Prep Student and Family Handbook. Lands' End has a special school store set up for Mason Prep PE uniforms and other school logo attire. Educational Outfitters is located in Mount Pleasant, and Mason Prep clothing can also be ordered through their website.
The PTO also manages a used PE clothing sale every month of the school year, where parents can purchase gently used PE clothing at a greatly reduced price. The clothing for sale is from an ever-changing inventory of parent-donated, clean uniforms in good condition. Those sale dates are advertised at the beginning of the school year and are also sent home with your children. The money raised from the clothing sale goes into the pool of PTO fundraising, which helps to support field trips and supplements various programs and activities at school.
