Mason Preparatory School offers financial assistance to our students based on demonstrated financial need.
We realize that sending your child to an independent school requires a great financial commitment, and we deeply appreciate our parents placing their trust in Mason Prep for their children's education. Our administration and Board of Trustees are committed to maintaining Mason Prep’s affordability for our current families and to making Mason Prep more accessible to new families.
Mason Prep uses the School and Student Services (SSS) program sponsored by the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) to manage the application process in a fair, consistent and confidential manner.
Financial Aid Application Process
The SSS parent website for financial aid applications for the 2020-21 school year opened in October 2019. Parents interested in applying for financial aid awards should follow these steps:
Submit the required tax documents, such as W-2 form(s) and tax return(s) by uploading them to SSS online. All information you provide will be kept in strict confidence. However, applications for financial aid submitted without the required documentation will not be considered.
New families applying to Mason Prep for grades K-8 for the 2020-21 school year should complete steps 1 through 4 in order for a potential financial aid award letter to accompany an acceptance letter.
For Current Mason Prep Families
You must submit your PFS and all required documentation by February 6, 2020, in order for your financial aid application to be considered in the first round of decision making before the student withdrawal notification deadline (February 29) that is part of our new continuous enrollment program.
Applications for financial aid for the 2020-21 school year must include tax return information for 2018 and 2019; if your tax return for 2019 is not yet complete, information from your 2019 W-2 form(s) will be required. While we will carefully consider financial aid applications received during the spring and summer, there is no guarantee that additional aid will be available, so we urge you to file your application as soon as possible.
