We are so happy to have our new families joining the Mason Prep family! Though it won’t take long for you to feel right at home at Mason Prep, we thought the following information and dates might be helpful. And remember – you can always contact the office with any questions you may have (scroll down for contact information).
Information & Forms
You have received the “Back-to-School” packet in the mail. Please fill out these forms and return them with your student on the first day of school. Downloadable pdfs of these forms may be found on the parent resources page.
Mason Prep students are not required to wear an everyday school uniform. Your child will wear a PE uniform twice a week for PE class. Students are also required to wear a collared Mason Prep shirt for field trips.
Girls - On the bottom, girls typically choose to wear one of the skorts or athletic shorts. On the top, the younger girls seem to like the “Peter Pan” collared polo. The older girls seem to like the athletic performance t-shirt.
Boys - On the bottom, there are different styles and fits of athletic shorts. On the top the boys seem to like the athletic active poly polo or the athletic performance t-shirt.

You may opt to have your student bring a lunch or to order from outside vendors through our lunch program organized by our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). Ordering is done through orgsonline.com, and you can choose which days your student will receive lunch. Each month, you will receive an email from the school reminding you to sign up for lunches for the following month. It’s a good idea to sign up with orgsonline now so you will be ready when you receive your email reminding you to order near the end of August. More information about lunches may be found here.
Additionally, milk may be ordered for your student to have with lunch (information here).
Extended Care and Afterschool Programs
Extended care is available nearly every day of the school year from 3:05 – 5:45pm. Extended care is available on an as-needed basis; no commitment or reservations are needed. Parents will be billed monthly. Information about other afterschool programs will be sent home near the beginning of each semester.
Information about team sports will be sent home or emailed at the appropriate point during the year. If your child is participating in a team sport, you will need to complete three forms which can be found on the parent resource page.

August 16, 9:00 – 10:30am: new student orientation (grades 2-8)
August 16, 7:00 – 9:00pm: first grade parent meetings, in first grade classrooms
August 16, 7:00 – 8:30pm: 5th grade and NEW 6th grade parent meeting, in lunchroom
August 17, 11:00am – 1:30pm: kindergarten student and parent drop-in
August 18, 8:00am – 12:00pm: first day of schoolKindergarten drop-off is 8:15 – 8:30
August 18, after drop-off: PTO-Sponsored Sip & Sob (parents of kindergarteners and first graders); location TBA
September 8, 7:00 – 8:30pm: PTO Meeting / Open House (“Meet-the-Teacher Night”)
