Our Graduates

Ready for what comes next.

A core element of Mason Prep's mission is the preparation of our students for secondary education, and as a result, local high schools seek out our graduates year after year.

Secondary schools consistently describe our graduates as extremely well prepared academically. Our alumni also assume leadership roles in the classroom, on the playing fields, and in student government. Frequently, our graduates come back to visit and comment on how well Mason Prep prepared them for success in high school.

Beginning in 7th grade, we work closely with students and parents to help them find the high school that is the best fit.

Where do our Knights go after MPS?

The transition from Mason to Porter-Gaud was seamless. [Mason Prep] is academically challenging to the point that my freshman classes seemed to be the same level of difficulty as my classes in middle school. Mason provided me with all of the necessary resources and tools during my time there that allowed me to feel very comfortable and confident in my transition into high school.

Primarily, Mason Prep’s close-knit community sets it apart from other schools. As a former shy kid, I made special bonds with many of my teachers because they encouraged me to spread my wings and made me feel special just the way I was. This experience isn’t unique to me, though; the teachers at MPS ensure that every student gets recognized for their talents.

Compared to many of my peers who came [to Academic Magnet] from different schools, I feel like I was given better study skills that I practiced and developed. Also, the English, grammar and writing skills from Mason Prep are much farther ahead than [those provided by] basically any school in the county. ills Jordan, Class of 2017; Academic Magnet Class of 2021; Davidson College Class or 2025

Mason Prep is where I learned how to study. I think this foundation laid the groundwork for the rest of my education. These study skills continued to aid me through college and into med school. Learning in medical school is often compared to trying to drink from a fire hydrant, so the ability to synthesize large volumes of material efficiently is crucial for not falling behind.

Mason Prep is the reason I pursued English as my major in college - and now my PhD. Literature and grammar studies are such strengths at Mason Prep thanks to the comprehensive curriculum and dedicated teachers. Mason Prep gave me an incredible base and confidence as I moved forward with my English studies. Even as I worked in the Writing Center at Clemson University, I pulled upon grammar lessons from Mason Prep. I'm incredibly grateful to have attended this school. I met some of my closest friends here, and whenever I return it still feels like home to me. It's a wonderful place!
